The big "D" day 7

Seems to be getting easier.... got on the scale this am and I'm down 6-7 lbs!!!!  That's enough to make me want to keep going!  LOL   I feel more energetic, although I admit I am a little hungry at times.  Doing ok!

Started on the big scraproom yesterday!  My dear friend Jenn and I made 4 sections:  donate, sell, keep and "anna"!  LOL...... so far the sell pile is the biggest!   when we get done weeding we are going to organize by color!   It may take several months to get thru all the stuff i have accumulated over 12y of scrapping!   Paul says he'd like to see me dump one tote a week in the dumpster and then I'd probably be able to start over in a year!!!!  what a card.  He thinks he's funny....

will maybe post some pics of the mess tomorrow.  

Ben is on a great schedule!  Sleeping all nite (8 or 9pm - 5-6am)  in the am i nurse him in bed with me  =)

Then i get to nurse him when i'm home maybe 2 more times. Started cereal on thursday and did great with it!  Eats now 6am-9am-noon-4ishpm-sometimes a 7pm snack-9pm   He gets bottles during the week so sometimes he'd prefer to watch the "scenery" and i'm not so patient with that! LOL  Won't be too long i will have to say goodbye to the nursing forever.  Last baby :(   

Sam's on a bit of a rebel streak.  Don't get me wrong, it's mild!  Just a lot of "not listening" and bugging his sister.  Just need to work on it a bit!  He will turn it around.  He has a heart of gold, that one does! And a beautiful voice.

Anna----sang Christmas carols all the way to meet Lauren!  She's light and fun-loving, a little bossy, very creative.  She has a naughty streak as well!  suppose they get that from the x chromosome.  sigh.

Paul and I are longing for a weekend away!  Doesn't appear it will be very soon!!!!  sigh...it's all worth it! 

8:30 pm and only 3 almonds left......

So that means I am off to bed!  Day 1 of the South Beach Diet.  I'm sluggish.  And a little sad!  It is so funny that I can be sad about missing food so much!  I am really sick.......and DETERMINED more than ever to get this extra weight off!  I space my 15 almonds thru the day, essentially saving them for afternoon and evening, when my munching is the worst!  Will be interesting to look back in a year at this post and see how much I got done!  scary......

Mornings are hectic now that I am back to work.  I went back sept 28th.  It's been hard but I am BLESSED with a super involved hubby and a FANTASTIC woman/friend who watches Benjamin for me at my house all day.   I couldn't do it without BOTH of them!  So.....I am very thankful for that.   Here's a morning shot of me and the kids dancing to Jack Johnson.  Love Paul for taking shots of us now and then.

 

And here's a late entry photo of the kids on Halloween.  Ben was SUPPOSED to be a peapod, but he outgrew it before Halloween and Anna, well that's her THIRD Halloween costume, following a Japanese girl and a witch.   Sam bought a $1 mask at walmart and called it good!

 

And here's my Little Pumpkin Benjamin, who is growing faster than I ever thought and reminding me each day to spend all the time we can together!

 

I still have to post pics from our first annual Halloween party, but the energy from the almonds i devoured is wearing off so I am going to SLEEP!  

In anticipation....

Ok, so first, we have a cute Thanksgiving countdown calendar....each day we write what we are thankful for.  So cool.  The kids have great cards!  Mine focus on things that make my life easier, like JULIE and ELASTIC! LOL...... hey I gotta be truthful!!! 

 

I'm sorta crazy, But I got a jump start on Christmas this year!  Paul put up the tree on Saturday, Anna and I decorated it, and I hung garland with lights and stockings!  Have a few smaller trees up with lights in the front entryway and BLING garland on the eating area light fixture.  Just a few finishing touches, like the nativity outside, and we will be ALL set!  I did it early this year cuz, well I have had 3 kids and the first two, like clockwork, at 6months postpartum, the blues set in.  That will be exactly Christmas day!  So better safe than sorry, my kids will have a tree!  :P  Hopefully I'm gonna avoid it this time but you never know what those hormones do to you!

I stink at blogging.......

So WHERE have I been?  Let's see.....my last post was the day my water broke I believe!  LOL!!!

He's now 4++months old.  I have loved (nearly) every moment!  I have sat, cuddled, soaked it ALL in!  I do wish I would have blogged, but I can only type 2 handed and, seriously, Benjamin was in my arms ALL THE TIME!  Who could blame me?  Back with my journaling of the blessed event later.  Here is one of my favorites of him!  See now why I just had to snuggle him up!?!?!!!
